The Adobe PDF Library (APDFL) is a C/C++ Application Programming Interface (API) based on the same code used to create Adobe Acrobat. APDFL allows developers and vendors the means to build their own applications that can create, process, review, and update PDF documents.

Datalogics added interfaces to the Adobe PDF Library to allow for native coding using Java, C# (.Net), and .Net Core. We also provide an optional plugin for working with PDF form documents, specifically for use in a server context, and an additional C/C++ interface (known as DLI) that facilitates generating new PDFs programmatically. Datalogics provides versions of APDFL that run on Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms, and the C++ and Java interfaces for Adobe PDF Library 15 and 18 can also run on SPARC Solaris and IBM AIX. Note that Adobe PDF Library 18 supports IBM AIX but not with the Java or .NET interfaces.
